Patient Benefit
CRT, the technology transfer and development company of Cancer Research UK, aims to maximise cancer patient benefit arising from publicly-funded cancer research. We strive to do this by securing the most effective development route for technologies that could lead to new cancer related therapeutics or diagnostics.

CRT works closely with leading scientists at a number of prestigious international institutes and charities, including Cancer Research UK, to identify new discoveries and inventions with potential cancer patient benefit. Due to the considerable amounts of investment and the multidisciplinary approach required to develop a cancer diagnostic or therapeutic from a new discovery, we seek to establish industrial partnerships and collaborations for as many projects as possible. This ensures that commercial resources and expertise are secured in order to realise patient benefit as quickly and effectively as possible.

CRT has an admirable reputation for the productive nature of its commercial partnerships and is proud of its achievements. These include three marketed cancer related therapies, benefiting cancer patients around the world, and sixteen partnered therapeutics in clinical development.
