CRT's scientists are collaborating with groups at leading research institutes worldwide to develop new cancer therapies.
CRT's in-house drug discovery programmes include the identification of small molecule inhibitors of kinase, DNA repair, DNA binding protein and molecular chaperone targets, and are at various stages of development. Biologicals under development include antibodies against cytokines and growth factor inhibitors, and tumour-targeting platform technologies.

Drug discovery and development of biological therapeutics may be undertaken by CRT's academic research partners and/or by CRT's own research and development scientists. In addition to CRT's internal therapeutic programmes, CRT has exclusive rights to Cancer Research UK-funded programmes at centres of excellence in drug discovery.
