Anti-RNA pol II Antibody Profile

Antigen: Phosphorylated RNA polymerase II (RNA pol II). Epitope: C-terminal repeat of the largest subunit of RNAPII
Relevance: RNAPII is an essential component of the RNAP II transcription elongation complex. Recruitment of RNA processing factors to the elongation complex is coordinated by the phosphorylation of Serine-2 and Serine-5 residues within the C-terminal repeat (YSPTSPS) domain of the largest subunit of RNAPII.
Clone: CTD 8A7
Subclass: IgM
Applications: ELISA, Western blot
Immunogen: Peptide: 10 repeats of synthetic peptide YSPTSPS using chemically sythesized phospho-ser 5.
Reactivity: Human and S. cerevisiae
Species raised in: Mouse: Balb/c
Fusion partner: Sp2/0 Ag.14
Recommended growth conditions: DMEM 5% FCS
