Anti-Protein kinase Cα. Antibody Profile

Antigen: Protein kinase Cα. Epitope: within the variable region V3 PKCα (the site of limited proteolysis on the native enzyme).
Relevance: Protein Kinase C is a family of serine/threonine protein kinases that are activated by Ca2+, diacylglycerol and membrane phospholipids (phosphatidylserine). MC5 blocks partial proteolysis of PKC by trypsin in vitro. Fab fragment inhibits phorbol-ester-induced down-regulation of PKC in a rodent gloma cell line.
Clone: MC5
Subclass: IgG2a
Applications: Immunoprecipitation, ELISA, Radioimmunoassay, Western blot
Immunogen: Purified bovine brain protein kinase C
Reactivity: -
Species raised in: Mouse: Balb/c
Fusion partner: P3x63
Recommended growth conditions: DMEM 5% FCS
