| Relevance: |
ICAMs are members of the
immunoglobulin superfamily that is characterised by
the presence of immunoglobulin-like domains. ICAM-3
is the major ligand for LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18) in the resting
state. ICAM-3 may play a key role in initiating
immune responses. ICAM 3.1 and ICAM 3.2 can be
used to examine LFA-1/ICAM-3 adhesion. |
